Richard Wayne Rudd, age 54, of South Shore, KY, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2025, at the Best Care Health & Rehab in Wheelersburg, Ohio. Richard was born in Mt. Sterling on October 3, 1970, to the late William Richard Rudd and Judy Halsey Rudd. Richard was an over the road truck driver and enjoyed out door activities, especially fishing, camping and hiking. His daughters said if “A dog is a man’s best friend, his was Ladybug”.
Richard is survived by his wife, Kimberly Rudd of South Shore, KY; his mother Judy Halsey Rudd of Mt. Sterling; his six children: Tori (Clint) Pulliam of Mt. Sterling, Nisha (Gabriel) Toledo of Sharpsburg, Kellie (Nick) Lucas of Nicholasville, Tabitha Rudd of Elizabethtown and step-children Kiara Clark and Devon Collignon; his sister Donna (Freddie) Doyle of Owingsville; his 16 grandchildren: Gabe Toledo, Jr., Austin Toledo, Jazmyn Toledo, Garrett Lucas, Haydyn Manley, Michael Lucas, Felix Toledo, Addie Adkins, Mason Adkins, Kinsley Manley, Maverick Adkins, Annalise Pulliam, Memphis Rudd, Sawyer Pulliam, Beckham Collignon and Ryker Sams. His niece Hallie (Daniel) Reed and nephew Charles Hatton.
Besides his father, Richard was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Dock and Elizabeth Halsey; his paternal grandparents Kelly and Elizabeth Rudd; and uncles Charles Rudd, Fred Halsey and Jack Halsey.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, June 10, at 1:00 p.m. at Herald & Stewart Home For Funerals Chapel. Officiating is Donald Rudd.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.
Burial to follow at Rudd Cemetery on Grassy Creek Road in Morgan County.
