Rena (Watson) Thacker

Rena Watson Thacker, wife of Lloyd 'Mitchell" Thacker, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Monday, August 23, 2021 at her residence. She was a 42 year old native of Mt. Sterling, born to the union of Connie Carpenter Watson and the late Estill Wayne Watson and was a member of the Christian Faith. 

In addition to her husband, Rena is survived by 3 daughters; Makayla Stigall, Madison Stigall and Kileigh Thacker, her mother; Connie Watson, a half-brother; Aaron Watson (Samantha), her step-mother; Jackie Watson, and a cousin; Monroe Carpenter (Kim Smith). She is preceded in death by her grandparents; Rollie and Vernell Carpenter, a brother; Keith Watson and an uncle; John Carpenter. 

Rena's funeral will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Pastor David Campbell presiding. Visitation will take place prior to the funeral from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
