Roger Dale McCarty

Roger Dale McCarty, husband of Louise Manley McCarty, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Monday, May 3, 2021.  He was a 76 year old born in Middletown, Ohio to the union of the late Finley and Elsie Baldridge McCarty, a retired employee from A.O. Smith and member of Young's Valley Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by 3 grandchildren, Lauren Kaye McCarty (Phil Chambers), Kaitlin Marie McCarty and Landon Eli Fogle, a special daughter-in-law, Tammy McCarty, 2 sisters, Marlene Blevins and Charletta Lynn (Tommy) Heath, and 2 brothers, Jerry Lee (Jackie) McCarty and Ricky Lane McCarty.  He was preceded in death by a son, Jeff McCarty, a daughter, Melissa McCarty Fogle, a sister, Marita McCarty and 2 brothers, Larry McCarty and Danny McCarty.

His funeral will be 2:00 Thursday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Pastor Jim Skidmore presiding, with burial in Machpelah Cemetery.  Visitation is 11-2:00 Thursday.  Pallbearers are Jason Brooks, Phillip Chambers, Stanley Dennis, Tommy Heath, James "Mickey" Blevins and David Johnson.
