Sam McIntosh, age 82, of Jeffersonville, passed away at home on October 31, 2024. Sam was born in Breathitt County, April 14, 1942, to the union of the late William and Cordelia Gross McIntosh. He lived a full life and retired from Wintech in Winchester, farmed and was an Army Veteran where he served in the Vietnam Era from 1963-1966.
Sam is survived by 2 daughters– Tammy (Terry) Stamper of Jeffersonville, Samantha (Lamberto) Vargas of Mt. Sterling; 2 sons-Sam (Ellen) McIntosh Jr. of Winchester, Eric Lee(Heather) McIntosh of Fleming Co. His 14 Grand Children and 1 Great Grand child. 3 sisters– Naomi Cain of Florence, Shelia McIntosh of Winchester, Amanda Watkins of Florence.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 6 sisters and 4 brothers.
Funeral services will be Monday, November 4th at 1:00 p.m. at the Herald & Stewart Home For Funerals chapel. Friends & Family can visit Monday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
Officiating will be Joey Rogers. Military Rites by Post 22 American Legion.
Burial at the Patrick Cemetery in Frenchburg will follow.
