Scott Lyons, husband of Nancy Morris Lyons, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022. He was a 50-year-old born in Carlisle, Kentucky to the union of the late Frank Alvin and Patricia Hafley Lyons, a welder for the Pentair company and a member of the Christian faith.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 4 sons, Dalton Lyons (Corey Branham), Brandon Lyons (Kari), Nicholas Lyons and Matthew Lyons, and 2 grandchildren, Owyn and Finley Lyons, his mother, Patricia Lyons, a sister, Lorna Lyons, 2 nephews, Cody and Justice Drake Bussell, his mother-in-law, Annabelle Morris, a brother-in-law, Calvin Morris (Kelly), a sister-in-law, Paula Morris, and 4 special friends, Johnny King, Sam Faulkner, Annie Katherine Feeback and P.J. Stone and a very special aunt, Judy York (Andy).
Scott was preceded in death by his father, Frank Lyons, his maternal grandparents, Cecil and Barbara Hafley, his paternal grandparents, Surience and Eliza Lyons, a sister-in-law, Janet Hafley and an uncle, C.J. Hafley.
His funeral will be 2:00 Thursday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Pastor Tyler Robbins presiding, with burial in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8:00 Wednesday. Pallbearers are Johnny King, Daniel Hunt, Sam Faulkner, P.J. Stone, Rusty Compton, Josh Sexton and Darryl Halcomb.
