Serena May Goldie Hayden, widow of Richard C. Hayden, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022 at her daughter's home in Owingsville, KY. She was a 74 year old born in Montgomery County the union of the late Norman and Zola Luster Goldie, a retired dietician and member of Spring Street Baptist Church.
She is survived by 2 daughters; Kasey McMillen (Anthony) and Shellie Davis, 5 grandchildren; Bracken Banfield (Casey), Justin Rogers (Samantha), Hayden Banfield, Bradley McMillen (Amber) and Andrew McMillen (Laura), 12 great grandchildren, a brother, Jerry Goldie (Lisa) and a special friend, Robert Dean. In addition to her husband and parents, Serena was preceded in death by a brother, Norman Goldie Jr. and 2 sisters; Hazel Raper and Jackie Curtis.
Her funeral will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2022 at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Deacon Bill Johnson presiding with burial to follow in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation will take place Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Bracken Banfield, Justin Rogers, Hayden Banfield, Bradley McMillen, Andrew McMillen and Robert Dean.
