Stuart Vincent Howell

Stuart Vincent Howell “Big Country,” of Mt. Sterling, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at St. Joseph Hospital, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. He was born June 13, 1978 in Lexington, KY to Harold and Diane Campbell Howell.

Stuart was a Bourbon County native and resided in Montgomery County, of the Christian faith and jack of all trades. He was always on the go and enjoyed; hunting, football, country music, country rides and helping people with anything and everything they might need. He was very proud of his family and always talked about his children. He enjoyed coaching football, supporting his daughters playing basketball, competing in track and many other sports. He was never seen without a huge smile on his face. He could always make you laugh or find humor in anything. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family.  

Stuart is survived by his parents; Harold and Diane Campbell Howell of Mt. Sterling; his loving and devoted wife; Kelly Pierce of Mt. Sterling; adored daughters; Emma Howell and Morgan Howell of Paris, Katie Howell of Mt. Sterling; cherished son Luke Pierce of Mt. Sterling; brother Ethan Howell of Mt. Sterling; nephews; Hayden and Spencer Howell of Mt. Sterling; niece;  Aubree Harvey of Mt. Sterling; and a host of extended family and close friends. 

Visitation will be held Monday, November 21, 2022 from 5:00 - 8:00PM.
Funeral will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 11:00AM. Both will be held at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals. Burial to follow funeral at Ezel Cemetery. Rev. Jess Brewer will be officiating.

Pallbearers:  Sam Faulkner, John Arnold, Ethan Howell, Hayden Howell, Nathan Hall, Justin Dailey, Shane Dailey, and Mike Rogers. 

Honorary Pallbearers:  Harold Howell, Jim Pierce, Luke Pierce, Spencer Howell, Rex Conway, Mike Harvey, Jeremiah Roberts, Scott Mallory, Jason Issac, Christian Wills and Mike May.

Arrangements are placed in the care of Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals.
