Sylvia Lutes Obituary

Sylvia Peace Day Lutes, widow of Hisle Lutes and Ray Willoughby, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2020. She was an 86 year old born in Menifee County to the union of the late Ash and Grace Nolan Day, a former employee at JC Penny and a member of the Church of God.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Yvonnia Willoughby and Pam Stamper, a son, Jesse (Lisa) Willoughby, 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, and 3 sisters, Geneva (Jim) Peeples, Gladys (Sam) Fleenor and Betty Reffitt. She was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, 1 great-great-grandchild, 2 sons, Gary and Jerry Willoughby and 7 brothers.

Her funeral will be 2:00 Thursday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Pastor Hoss Prater presiding, with burial in Combs Day Cemetery. Visitation is 12-2:00 Thursday. Pallbearers will be grand and great-grandchildren.
