Thomas Dewey Belcher, age 85, of Jeffersonville, KY, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025, at Mt. Sterling St. Joseph hospital surrounded by family. Tom was born on Ferrell’s Creek, Belcher, KY, Pike County, to the late Marcus and Rushie Belcher on April 1, 1940. Tom worked at A.O. Smith, Hobarts and Leggett & Platt until he retired. He was a member of the Camargo Church of Christ. He was a big time fisherman and fan of baseball, U.K. basketball, football and Bluegrass music.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Bessie Stalker Belcher, of Jeffersonville; 2 daughters Katrina (Walter) Hiler, Yvette (Shane) Rogers; 1 son Thomas (Shawn) Belcher; 2 granddaughters Andie Rogers and Marissa Belcher; 2 great grandchildren Elizabeth Rogers and Liam McBeath; 2 sisters Glima Gray of Ann Arbor, MI, and Joann Strickland of Nicholasville, KY; 1 brother Randall Belcher of Monticello, KY.
Besides his parents, Tom was preceded in death by 1 sister Sylvia Blackburn; 2 brothers Belville Belcher and Danny Belcher.
Funeral services will be Thursday, April 24, at 2:00 p.m. at the Herald & Stewart Home For Funerals Chapel.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Officiating will be Robin Meyer and Wesley Delk.
Burial will follow at the Lovely-Amburgey Cemetery in Jeffersonville.
Pallbearers: Jim Woessner, Harold Hescock, Carter Stacy, Mike Stacy, Bruce Adams, Paul Adams.
