Timothy Joe Botts, widow of Barbara James Botts, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022 at his residence in Mt. Sterling. He was a 63 year old born in Montgomery County to the union of the late Herbert Hoover and Mattie Bell Searight Botts, an Army veteran, former employee of Thoroughbred Disposal and member of Greater First Baptist Church in Sharpsburg, KY.
Timothy is survived by 2 daughters; Terrica Botts and Maria Botts, 8 grandchildren; Bryce Tyra, Joneshia Botts, Charkia Botts, Talenna Botts, Tyric Botts, Tavon Reed, Jawaun Doughty and Jaylin Doughty, 2 sisters; Jennifer Botts and Vicki Darnell (Michael), as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to his wife Barbara J. Botts, Timothy was preceded in death by his parents; Herbert and Mattie Searight Botts, a daughter; Kassandra Singh and a brother; Herbert Botts.
His funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Minister Ricky Walker presiding with burial to follow in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Pallbearers are: Chip Simmons, Tyler Richards, Steve Guy, Tyrone Henry, Charles Rash and David Wilson.
