Timothy Ray Jones, 66, was born on November 21, 1956, to the late Lyman and Nannie Jones. He gained His wings, Sunday, September 17, 2023 at CHI St. Joseph Hospital Main in Lexington, Kentucky. Timothy was baptized May, 1998 by Rev. Paul D. McMillan at Second Baptist Church. Timothy proudly served 21 years with the Army National Guard. He officially retired from Nestle Prepared Foods, Inc. August 7, 2023 with 21 years of dedicated service. While working at Nestle in various positions, he received numerous accolades and achievement awards. Timothy was a “Jack of all trades,” he was a Chef, Electrician, Carpenter, Mechanic, just and an all-around great, smart guy with numerous talents and full of wisdom. He was also quick to pitch in and give advice and to assist with whatever needed to be done. He loved and adored his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was truly a family man.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Jones, brother, Jeffrey L. Jones and sister, Rebecca A. Jones-Orr. Timothy’s memory will be cherished by his loving wife of 21 years, Barbara A. Jones; (6) children; Dominisha Johnson, Timothy Javon Jones(Mckayla), Tiara Johnson, Marquinta Jones, Gleneice Massenburg (Antiwan); Nymenia Fields(Malik Spriggins) Grandchildren: Khylei Johnson, Ke’Ona Bush, Kaliyah Bush, Kingston Bush, K’lynn Bush, Max Christopher Jones, Kennett Miguel Jones, Charleigh Elizabeth Jones, Amaya Renee Jones, Carmen Johnson, Quintessence Jones, Quinyanna Neal, Qualiyah Bethea, Antonio Stone, Andreia Fields, Nymien Fields, Torah Spriggins, Jarell Spriggins, Makiy Spriggins, Olivia Spriggins. Great Grandson; Quinten Cattenhead; Great Granddaughter E’lani Martin. Sisters, Wanda F. Hay (Oscar), NJ; Kim Jones, OH; brother Mark Jones (India), NJ; and his Aunt Wanda Smith, Ohio. Godson, Robert James Faulkner and bonus daughter, Amy Faulkner. He will be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members, friends and co-workers.
His funeral will be 1:00 Monday, September 25, 2023 at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals. Visitation will take place prior to the funeral service from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Burlington Cemetery in Burlington, KY.
