Virginia Centers Wright, born on April 24, 1943, in Montgomery County, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2024, in her hometown. She was the daughter of Lenox and Ora Inez Hale Centers. A devoted housewife, Virginia dedicated her life to her family and home, nurturing a warm and loving environment for her loved ones.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Roy Wright, and daughter, Tammy Jones of Nicholasville. Virginia was especially proud of her granddaughter, Lindsay Rose of Lexington, and her two great-grandchildren, Daniel Lee Miller and Alexia Grace Miller, who brought her immense joy.
In addition, Virginia is survived by her sister, Ruth Carter of Florida, and her brother, Larry Centers of Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Geneva Corey, Lois Ritchie, and Gertrude Mann, as well as two brothers, Russell Centers and Jesse Centers.
A faithful member of Howards Mill First Church of God, Virginia's spirit and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love and dedication to her family will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 30, 2024, at the Herald and Stewart Chapel in Mt. Sterling, KY. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m.
