WANDA FAY (BACK) GUNNELL

Wanda Gunnell, age 82, passed away Monday, April 7, 2025, at Windsor Care Center. Wanda was born April 26, 1942 to the late Carl and Lula Back.  Wanda worked at A.O. Smith for many years.  She was a member of the First Church of God.

Wanda is survived by her son Bert (Pam) Gunnell, Jr. of Owingsville, her daughter Lisa Spencer of Mt. Sterling, 2 grandchildren Victoria McClanahan of Mt. Sterling and Gaia Garcia; 2 great grandchildren Travis Dale Thomas of Owingsville and Teralyn Watkins of Winchester; 1 brother J.C. Back of Dayton, Ohio, 1 sister Betty Purvis of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Besides her parents, Wanda was preceded in death her loving husband Bert Gunnell, Sr., son in law Roger Spencer,  4 sisters and 2 brothers.

Funeral services will be Thursday, April 10, at 1:00 p.m. at the Herald & Stewart Home For Funerals Chapel.  Visitation will be at 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.  Officiating will be Pastor David Campbell.

Burial will follow at Machpelah Cemetery.
