WILLIAM EVANS Obituary

William H. Evans, age 80, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at U.K. Hospital in Lexington, KY. William was born May 1, 1945, in Harlan County, KY to the late George Evans and Willie May Hinkle Evans. Wiiliam proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for 28 years.

William is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Joan Chalef Evans of Mt. Sterling; 1 sister Jackie Evans of Mt. Sterling; a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A private graveside burial service will be on Monday, December 15 at Machpelah Cemetery.
