William “Bill” E. Butler, age 71, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2025, at the U.K. Health Care in Lexington, KY. Bill was born June 23, 1954 in Winchester, KY, to the union of the late Chic Butler and Ima Jane Woods Bach. Bill was retired from Sylvania where he worked as an Industrial Mechanic. Bill was a faithful member of the Living Water Church were he willingly worked wherever he was needed.
Bill is survived by his loving wife Patty Vance Butler of Mt. Sterling; 2 sons Mark (Alexis) Butler of Vine Grove, KY, Michael (Brooke) Butler of Glasgow, KY; his stepson Ervin Clark; 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; 1 brother Tim (Jacque) Bach of Winchester; 2 stepsisters Linda and Susan and his Aunt Jo Ann Miller of Winchester.
Besides his parents, Bill was preceded in death by Cathy Frodge Butler of Mt. Sterling.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Living Water Church, 200 Fogg Pike, Mt. Sterling. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Grant Cannoy and John Duggins.
Burial will follow at Machpelah Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Braden Butler, Bryce Butler, Brandon Butler, Brian Rigolo, Ervin Clark, Holli McComas, Zack Clark, Jim McCall.
Honorary Pallbearer: Adrian Link and Tim Bach.
