WILLIAM DAVID CAMPBELL

William David Campbell, age 72, of Mt. Sterling, KY, passed away Monday, July 13, 2026, at St. Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling. David was born May 30, 1954, in Mt. Sterling to the late John T. and Stanley Reed Campbell. He worked for Walker Construction for 42 years before retiring. David faithfully served the Lord as a minister for 23 years and was presently serving the Howards Mill First Church of God congregation.

David is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Connie Martin Campbell of Mt. Sterling; 1 son David Randall Campbell of Madisonville, KY; 4 sisters: Joyce Campbell of Mt. Sterling, Freida Montgomery of Jeffersonville, Carrie Liggett of Jeffersonville, Marie Reed of Stanton; 1 brother: Ricky Campbell of Jeffersonville.

Besides his parents, David was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Maudie Campbell, Sonia Campbell, Elenora Grooms; 4 brothers: Paul Campbell, James Denver Campbell, John T. Campbell, Jr., Leonard Wayne Campbell.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 17th at Herald & Stewart Home For Funerals.  Visitation will be Thursday, July 16th from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Herald & Stewart Home For Funerals. Officiating will be Jimmy Daulton and Chris Williams.

Burial to follow at Lovely-Amburgey Cemetery in Jeffersonville.

Pallbearers: Josh Christian, Tony Ingram, Josh Corey, Austin Hendrix, Earl Stacy, Trey Lambert, Blake Ingram, Robert Fields, Ryan Spence.

Honorary Pallbearers: The Men of Howards Mill First Church of God.
