Obituary

Walter Hamilton Daugherty, husband of Rhodema Neal Daugherty, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2023 at his residence in Frenchburg, KY. He was a 73 year old born to the union of the late Raymond and Lettie Amburgey Daugherty, a supervisor at the Bluegrass Army Depot and a member of the Christian Faith.

He is survived by his wife, Rhodema Neal Daugherty; 2 sons, Walter Shannon Daugherty and Kelly Neal Daugherty; 3 grandchildren, Austin Richards, Allison Grace Daugherty and Alexandria Christine Daugherty; 3 brothers, Randy Daugherty (Sarah), Raymond Daugherty Jr. and Gary Wayne Daugherty (Pamela); and a sister, Sandra Chambers. In addition to his parents, Walter was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Wade Daugherty.

His funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Pastor Paul Trautner presiding with burial to follow in Daugherty Cemetery. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arrangements are placed in the care of Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals.
