Walter "Shannon" Daugherty

Walter "Shannon" Daugherty passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY. He was a 48 year old born in Morehead, KY to Rhodema Neal Daugherty and the late Walter Hamilton Daugherty, a machine operator and member of the Christian Faith.

He is survived by a daughter, Allison Daugherty; a son, Austin Richards (Emily); a grandson, Kace Richards; his mother, Rhodema Daugherty; a brother, Kelly Daugherty; a niece, Alexandria Daugherty; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Hamilton Daugherty.

His funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Paul Trautner presiding with burial to follow in Daugherty Cemetery. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Robert Stamper, Chad Chambers, Jimmy Gross, Jamie Williams, Barret Kegley and Rick Burchett. Honorary Pallbearer is Austin Richards.

Arrangements are placed in the care of Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals.
