William Marvin Jones

William Marvin Jones Sr., who was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Dee Anderson Jones, passed away Friday, March 31, 2023. He was an 81 year old native of Montgomery County, son of the late Julius and Birdie Lee Baker Jones of Sharpsburg, Kentucky and served as an Army Specialist E4 in the Vietnam War.

He was also preceded in death by his son, William Marvin Jones Jr. He is survived by two sons, Steven (Bridigett) Jones and Bruce Wayne Jones both of Mt. Sterling; two daughters Yulanda Kuykendall of California and Latricia (Gene) Garrison of Mt. Sterling. 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a sister, Anna (Fred) Mason of Mt. Sterling.

His funeral will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2023 at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Rev. Gary Boyd presiding with burial to follow at Olive Hill Cemetery. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
