Charles William "C.W." Oldham, husband of Juanita Burns Oldham, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Friday, July 3, 2015. He was a 75 year old native of Montgomery County, son of the late Lena Gay and Otto Oldham Sr., a retired construction worker and heavy equipment operator and member of High Street Christian Church and Masonic Lodge.
In addition to his wife of 55 years, he is survived by his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Burns of Lexington, 2 sisters, Glenda Hargraves of Carrboro, NC, Octavene Turner of Lexington, a sister-in-law, Mary (Douglas) Twitty of Lexington, 5 children, Yvonne (David) Taul and Aundrey (Donetta) Oldham, both of Mt. Sterling, James (Clarissa) Oldham of Richmond, Rev. Zachery (Carolyn) Oldham of Louisville and Minika (William) Caise of Lexington,10 grandchildren, Tiffany Taul, Megan Taul, Aundrey (LaKeisha) Pollard, Jermaine (Tenisha) Oldham, Jamica (Akeem) Scott, Leigh (Nik) Jett, Erika Oldham, Jamell Lewis, Seth Caise and Evan Caise, 10 great-grandchildren, Mark Oldham, Geneva Oldham, Malik Oldham, Shaddai Scott, Isiah Noland, Tekiya Copeland, Jamie Oldham, Phoenix Oldham, James Oldham and Adonis Oldham, a great-great-grandson, Noah, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Juanita Bibb and Vera Daugherty, and 2 brothers, Otto Oldham Jr. and Wendell Oldham.
His funeral will be 1:00 Friday at High Street Christian Church with burial in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation is 11-1:00 Friday at the church. Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals is in charge. Contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
