Leslie Garrett Wilson, widower of Mary Ines Newkirk Wilson, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Wednesday, July 15,2015. He was an 89 year old native of Montgomery County, son of the late Richard and Louellen Conley Wilson. an Army veteran of WWII, retired mechanic, car salesman and bus driver and a member of the First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by a son, Jerry (Kim) Wilson, 3 grandchildren, Phillip (Melissa) Wilson, Nathan (Donetta) Wilson and Nick Wilson, 5 great-grandchildren, Klae Wilson, Tanner (Lindsey) Ockerman, Mallory Boyd, Chandler and Callie Wyman, and 1 great-great-grandchild, Nash Ockerman.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jayne Fugate.
His funeral will be 1:00 Friday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals with burial in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation is 5-9:00 Thursday.
