My Grandmother, Thelma Centers was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother to her family. She survived the depression and untimely death of her father. I will remember spending Sunday dinners and holidays at her home where meals were served immaculately and formally on her fine china.
I will also remember her and my grandfather Centers taking me to Gatlinburg, Tennessee on road trips as a child. I am grateful for the love and care that my grandmother and grandfather Centers had for their grandchildren. I also remember that my grandmother gave me my first stethoscope a tool of my future profession as a graduation present. Her grandchildren and all who loved her will miss her.
