Barbara Jane (Martin) Watkins

Barbara Martin Watkins, widow of Clayton Watkins, of Jeffersonville, passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021. She was a 79 year old native of Montgomery County, born to the union of the late Andy and Margaret Martin, a homemaker and member of the Pentecostal faith. 

She is survived by 4 children; Barbara Shields (Michael Craig), Stanley Ray Watkins (Barbara), Caroline Burns and Clayton Watkins Jr. (Penny Bowling), several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with 3 brothers; Larry Martin (Jane), Mitchell Martin (Velma) and Duane Martin. In addition to her husband and her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by a daughter; Marilyn Foster, 5 sisters; Gusty Pearl, Linda Lou, Virginia, Imogene and Wavy, as well as 4 brothers; Eugene, Alfred, Danny and Herald.

Barbara's funeral will be 1:00 Friday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Pastor Danny Little presiding with burial to follow in Martin Cemetery. Visitation will take place prior to the funeral service from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
