EDWIN "DALE" HENDERSON

Edwin Dale Henderson, age 69, of Mt. Sterling, passed away at home surrounded by family on Monday, January 6, 2025.  Dale was born to the union of the late Edwin C. and Nettie Henderson on November 1, 1955.   Dale proudly served in the U.S. Army for 20  years and was a Sergeant 1st Class.  He was also a truck driver for many years.  He was a member of the Donaldson Road Baptist Church.

Dale is survived by his loving wife Julia Whalen Henderson of Mt. Sterling, 1 daughter Dee (Larry) Woosley, 1 son Corbett Tolson of Campton,  1 sister Linda Agee of Mt. Sterling, 3 brothers Ronnie Henderson of Winchester, Dennis (Diane) Henderson of Jackson, Robbie (Linda) Henderson of Mt. Sterling;  8 grandchildren Sadie (Matt) Bush, Koty (Katie) Cox, Katie Woosley, Chase Woosley, Lissa Woosley, Dawson Woosley, Addison Woosley, Bryce Tolson; 3 great grandchildren Jaxon Bush, Alexa Cox, Wyatt Cox; several nieces and nephews, 1 Aunt Sue Dale of Bourbon Co.

Besides his parents, Dale was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Leonard & Rhoda Henderson, his maternal grandparents Claude & Ethel Witt and a special brother in law Anthony Agee.

Funeral services will be Friday, January 10, at 12:00 p.m. noon, at the Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals Chapel.  Friends can visit from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.  Officiating will be Cecil Curtis.

Burial will follow at the Machpelah Cemetery in Mt. Sterling with full Military Rites by the American Legion Post 23.
