LARRY WAYNE BROWNING

Larry Wayne Browning, age 76, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at St. Joseph Main Hospital in Lexington surrounded by his family.  Larry was born to the union of the late Wilson Browning & Addie May Burns, on April 24, 1948.  Larry was proud to serve his country as a Sergeant E5 in the US Army during the Vietnam era.  He retired from Vinson & Sons where he worked as a salesman. 

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Vandetta Browning, his daughter Denise (Terry) Barnett, daughter in law Crystal Browning-Lewis; 3 grandchildren– Amber (Duwayne) Branham, Dustin (Taylor) Barnett, Tyler (Janell) Browning;  4 great grandchildren– Lincoln Branham, Carson Barnett, Zoey Branham, Colson Barnett;  2 brothers– Donnie (Angie) Browning, Ricky (Rhonda) Burns,  2 sisters– Leah Fay Crowe, Vickie Brown; numerous nieces and nephews

Besides  parents, Larry was preceded in death by 1 son Travis W. Browning, 1 great grandson Easton M. Branham, 2 brothers Doug Browning, Jerry Ray Burns, 4 sisters Janice Norris, Brenda Montgomery, Nancye Watkins, Joann Jones.

Funeral services will be Friday, January 24 at the Herald & Stewart Home For Funerals Chapel. Friends can visit from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.  Nephew Roger Donathan reading the Eulogy. Officiating will be Marion Fawns.

Burial will follow at Machpelah Cemetery with full Military Rites by the Mt. Sterling American Legion Post 22.
