Margaret Gail (Markland) Hedges

Margaret Gail Markland Hedges, widow of Glennie Hedges, of Paris, passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021. She was a 70 year old native of Montgomery County, daughter of the late Charles and Frances Erlanson Markland, a former homemaker and member of the Baptist faith. 

Margaret is survived by a daughter; Ashley Mae Hedges, 3 sisters; Betty Martin, Wanda Jones (Kenneth) and Janice Martin, along with numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers; Larry Markland, Eddie Markland and Marvin 'Pinky" Markland, as well as 2 sisters; Peggy Burris and Faye Richie. 

There will be a graveside service conducted at Machpelah Cemetery on Monday, October 4, beginning at 1:00 p.m. with burial to follow. Pallbearers are: Cody Martin, Michelle Martin, Dakota Martin, Ronnie Traylor, Austin Jones and Logan Traylor. There will also be a special honorary pallbearer, Kenneth Jones.  

Arrangements are placed in the care of Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals.
