Roy Arlin Brown, husband of Lucy Brown, of Mt. Sterling, passed away November 28, 2021 at Clark Regional Medical Center. He was born on July 18, 1940 to the union of the late Milford and Sudie Burke Brown, was a proud father and grandfather and served in the United States Marine Corps. Roy was also a retired certified Tool & Die Maker for Rockwell, a 50-year Master Mason and member of Crosspoint Church in Winchester.
In addition to his wife of 53 years, Lucy Goodpaster Brown, he is survived by 3 children; Razetta Brown Carpenter (Gary) of Mt. Sterling, KY, Dava Jo Brown Bray (Kyle) of Bowling Green, KY and Royce Arlin Brown (Michelle) of Mt. Sterling, KY, 6 grandchildren; Daryan Carpenter Tipton (Levi) of Mt. Sterling, KY, Kylie P. Bray of Bowling Green, KY, Devan M. Bray of Bowling Green, KY, Roy T. Bray of Bowling Green, KY, Roslynn M. Brown of Mt. Sterling, KY and Alaina R. Brown of Mt. Sterling, KY, 2 brothers; David P. Brown (Roberta) of Mt. Sterling, KY and Dois E. Brown of Lexington, KY, 2 sisters; Rachel E. Morden (late Wesley J.) of Mt. Sterling, KY and Jerelena F. Riley (Herman) of Mt. Sterling, KY, a sister-in-law; Mary E. Brown, a brother-in-Law; Davis Belcher along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents; Milford and Sudie Burke Brown, 3 sisters; Sharon E. Brown, Della Sue Brown Mullins (late Kernie) and Mary Dean Belcher, and a brother; Donnie G. Brown.
His funeral will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 1 at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Pastors Ron Taylor and Willard Estep presiding, with burial to follow in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at the funeral home.
