Devonia Mae (Wilson) Vance

Devonia Mae Wilson Vance, widow of Paul Vance after 53 years of marriage, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016.  She was an 89 year old native of Wolfe County, daughter of the late Raleigh and Ella Bailey Wilson, and a homemaker. She was loved dearly by all who knew her.  

She is survived by 3 daughters, Shirley Hurley of Mt. Orab, Ohio, Paulette Congleton of Paris, and Dorothy (Kenneth) George of Jeffersonville, a son, Paul D. Vance of Afton, Wyoming, a brother, Don (Barbara) Wilson , a sister, Brenda (Robert) Lockhart, 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter.  In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Ellen Turley and 10 brothers and sisters.

Her funeral will be 1:00 Friday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals with burial in Sponcil Cemetery.  Visitation is 5-8:00 Thursday.
