Perry Randel Smith, husband of Mary Lee Anderson Smith, of Jeffersonville, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016. He was a 69 year old, born in Pikeville, Kentucky to the union of the late Conder and Mattie Pinson Smith, an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, being a Bronze Star and Purple Heart recipient, a sales contractor for Home Depot, and a member of the Pentecostal Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Bethany (Jamie) Briscoe of Richmond, 2 sons, Keith (Dawn) Smith of Florida and Wesley Smith of Mt. Sterling, a stepdaughter, Patricia Mobley (Kelly Moody) of Mt. Sterling, 10 grandchildren, Zachary, Amanda and Emily Smith, Travis Mobley, Kristen McGlothin, Victoria, Skyla and Hayden Smith, Kate and Carson Briscoe, 3 brothers, Garry (Linda) Smith, Billy (Donna) Smith and James (Leigh Ann) Smith, 4 sisters, Wilma Smith, Cathy Ellis, Rosemary (Robert) Metcalfe, and Audrey Smith, and a sister-in-law, Sheila Smith.
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Davie and John Smith, 3 sisters, Emmalene and Christine Smith and Connie Belcher, and 3 brothers-in-law, Aubrey Smith, Bugs Belcher and Kyle Ellis.
His funeral will be 1:00 Thursday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals with burial in Machpelah Cemetery where American Legion will have military rites. Visitation is 6-9:00 Wednesday.
