Carolyn Sue Holder Lawson, wife of Larry Lawson, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Friday, December 22, 2017. She was a 66 year old native of Montgomery County, daughter of Alma Corey McGuire and the late Vivian Holder,a former factory worker and member of Spring Street Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by 2 sons, Marvin Leon Strange Jr. and Gregory Allen Strange, 4 grandchildren, Shelby Lyn Guffey, Amanda Strange, Matthew Strange and Landon Strange, 2 great-grandchildren, Amelya and Raygen Guffey, 2 sisters, Loretta (Danny) Stevenson and Areeda (Edgar) Creech, and 2 brothers, Jackie Holder (Lula) and Bill Holder (Tracie). She was preceded in death by a brother, Vivian Holder Jr, and step father Billy Joe McGuire.
Her funeral will be 1:00 Wednesday at Spring Street Baptist Church with burial in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8:00 Tuesday at the church. Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.
